REGGAETON

Hip-hop dance refers to street dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture. It includes a wide range of styles primarily breaking, locking, and popping. At Kokoloco we bring to you the music found in the streets of Central America, Reggaeton and Dancehall.

Reggaeton music originated in Panama in the 1980s. By the 1990s it had spread to Puerto Rico, where the youth now claim Reggaeton as a musical genre of their own. Reggaeton music has a mixture of Jamaican and Latin American influences, blended with Hip Hop and Electronica beats.

Dancehall is a genre of Jamaican popular music that originated in the late 1970s. Initially dancehall was a more sparse version of reggae than the roots style, which had dominated much of the 1970s.
